Extra Learning opportunities
Each afternoon we have a special learning opportunity planned for the group of children.

Monday: Art with Mrs. Debby! On Monday's, Mrs. Debby comes to visit and engages the children in a fun process art project. Students will learn new techniques with a variety of media and create their own master piece.

Tuesday: Cooking day! On Tuesday's, we spend time as a group in the kitchen. We bake and cook items that will be featured in our meals or snacks during that week. During cooking, we will discuss what we are doing and making as well as healthy food choices.
Wednesday: Music and Movement! On Wednesday's, we will all participate in several movement activities to target our gross motor skills and get our bodies moving. We will learn the value of exercise and play with musical instruments along the way.
Thursday: Student choice group activities! On Thursday's, students will help choose and plan a group activity with the aid of Ms. Tammy. These activities may be a repeated opportunity for a loved planned lesson from a previous week or something new that the children come up with such as a whole group game, science experiments, and much more.
Nap Policy
All under 4 are encouraged to take a nap from 12:30pm-2:00pm. If a child is awake before the end of nap, they are welcome to leave the nap room and join the other awake students in the library.
During this time older or non-napping students will have 30 minutes of relaxing/calm time reading in the library followed by one-on-one language development and reading instruction.
NOTE: If your child is laying down for a nap and not asleep after 30-45 minutes they will be invited to rejoin the awake group. Most group care settings require children who are not going to nap to remain on their bed for the duration of the nap period, this is not the case the at Langdon's Little Learner's.
NOW ENROLLING
We are currently enrolling preschool students 2 and up, as well as TK-5th grade. At the end of 5th grade, students will graduate into middle school. Most local middle schools in the San Juan Unified School District serve grades 6th-8th.
